Due to the dynamic nature of the relationships between different departments in any organization and the level of independency, the SLA aims to outline the mutual expectations, especially, the critical tasks whose delay has potential effects and damages; financial – legal – environmental, reputation etc. between all departments and document them in order to be considered while interacting.
SLA reflects the concept of internal customer / supplier relationship and serves in reducing the phenomenon of firefighting, the gray areas in responsibilities/ accountability and hence improves the processes efficiency across functions.
